The next generation stands out
Thomas Milan is a Ph.D. student in the High-Throughput Genomics Research Unit headed by Principal Investigator Brian Wilhelm. He was President of the Institute’s student association, the AÉIRIC, for 3 years. He has co-organized several events, including all three editions of the scientific outreach event “Behind the Scenes of Cancer Research” and the Mental Health Awareness Week organized for the IRIC community.
He has received several awards and scholarships in recognition of the excellence of his academic achievements, his commitment to the community and the human qualities that he has actively demonstrated throughout his academic career. In 2021, he won third prize in the “Three Minute Thesis” competition organized by ACFAS.
