Donations in support of the next generation

IRIC’s student community benefits from several scholarships in support of their career path.

IRIC’s philanthropic Funds are extremely important in the awarding of these scholarships. Each year, generous donors and partners believe in the importance of the next generation of scientists. As a result, they reward the excellence of the academic records and recognize the contribution made to cancer research by the next generation.

This year. The many philanthropic commitments led to :

  • The awarding of 22 scholarships totaling $176,157.81;
  • Supporting almost 15% of IRIC’s students.   

The awarding of these scholarships is also made possible thanks to the support of its employees and investigators.

Power Corporation of Canada boosts young investigators
Mindful of investing in the next generation of scientists, Power Corporation of Canada has been supporting IRIC’s activities since 2018. Their funding has led to the creation of two fellowships per year for five years, entitled “PowerCorporation of Canada Next Generation of Scientists Postdoctoral Fellowships”. As a result, the student awardees will be able to tackle their research work involving various aspects of cancer research.
